Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries is a full gospel ministry devoted to the revival of Apostolic signs, Holy Ghost fireworks, and the unlimited demonstration of the power of God to deliver to the uttermost.
At MFM, we teach absolute holiness, within and without, as the greatest spiritual insecticide and a fundamental prerequisite for Heaven. We are a do it yourself Gospel ministry where your hands are trained to wage war and your fingers to do battle. Here, aggressive prayer is the key to spiritual focus and our primary defense against the flesh.

OUR HISTORY
DR. D.K. OLUKOYA
The Divine Beginning
The journey of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) began in 1989 with a simple act of obedience. After completing his Ph.D. in the United Kingdom and returning to work at the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research, Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya (DKO) felt a divine stirring to lead others in prayer.
On a Wednesday in 1989, 24 believers gathered in Dr. Olukoya’s living room. What started as a small prayer meeting soon became a beacon of spiritual power. As the "voice of providence" called for more frequent gatherings, the atmosphere became charged with the Holy Spirit, leading to verifiable miracles and a spiritual explosion that drew seekers from far and wide.
From a Living Room to a Global Headquarters
As the fire of revival spread, the ministry quickly outgrew its humble beginnings. Fixed eyes on the Lord, the ministry eventually purchased an abandoned slum at 13 Olasimbo Street, Onike, Yaba, near the University of Lagos.
Through faith and hard work, that slum was transformed into the International Headquarters we see today. The name "Mountain of Fire & Miracles Ministries" was divinely revealed to Dr. Olukoya during prayer, and the church held its official inaugural service on April 24, 1994.

Under the leadership of Dr. Olukoya as General Overseer, MFM has evolved into a strategic network of deliverance. MFM is recognized as one of the fastest-growing Christian ministries in the world with fire spreading across The United Kingdom & Europe, The United States & Canada, The Caribbean, and Africa & Asia.

Pastor Kolawole Samuel Olanrewaju—fondly known as Pastor Sam—is a living testament to the truth that God is the God of the impossible. His life stands as a powerful witness that God can call anyone, from any background, to serve His Kingdom and manifest His glory.
A Transformational Testimony
Born and raised in Nigeria within a devout Islamic family, Pastor Sam was the son of a Chief Imam. Despite his deep roots in his family’s traditional religion, the "True Living Word of God" began to stir his heart through powerful preaching. After a season of deep reflection, he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.
His transition was not an overnight shift but a profound journey of faith. It took years of divine conviction for him to accept that Christ’s sacrifice was meant for him personally—breaking the shackles of his past and setting him on a new path.
PASTOR SAM
Accepting the Divine Call
The path to ministry was not without its trials. Pastor Sam initially struggled with the weight of his calling, feeling unworthy and incapable of serving the Almighty. However, after experiencing the depths of Salvation and the intimate fatherly love of God, he embraced his mandate: to preach the Gospel to the lost and reconcile the brokenhearted back to the Father.
To prepare for this mission, he was trained at the MFM School of Ministry in Lagos, Nigeria. There, he was equipped with the biblical principles and deliverance tools he uses today to liberate those bound by spiritual forces. He remains steadfast in the belief that true freedom comes not through human intellect or strength, but solely through the Name and the Blood of Jesus Christ.
Education and Ministry Journey
Before relocating to South Africa, Pastor Sam served diligently on the deliverance team of the MFM General Overseer, Dr. D.K. Olukoya. Upon arriving in Johannesburg, he furthered his spiritual training by graduating from Rhema Bible College in Randburg, where he specialized in Full-Time Ministry and Pastoral Counseling.
Building a Branch of Champions
On October 2, 2011, Pastor Sam, alongside his wife—the dedicated worshipper and mother of his two children, Mrs. Thembi Olanrewaju—founded the MFM Wynberg branch.
What began with a handful of believers has blossomed into the "Branch of Champions," a thriving congregation of hundreds. While Pastor Sam provided the leadership, he credits the Lord Jesus Christ as the sole foundation of the church’s growth. Under his guidance, the ministry has:
- Trained and mentored numerous ministers and pastors now leading other MFM branches.
- Established successful, functional departments that serve the diverse needs of the congregation.
- Remained a powerhouse of prayer and deliverance in the heart of Johannesburg.
